    Some 500 Magnum 700 grain loads and a 9mm

I have a mould so I can make those bullets. It also has a hollow point pin that goes down more that halfway into the bullet. looks like you are looking down a sewer pipe because you don't see the bottom of the hollow point cavity. In the pic below you can see the bullet loaded next to the...

Here is the new 1895 Ruger/marlin

I have had a Remlin SBL for a few years now and have been extremely happy with it. I am sure the Rugers are good also but I am glad to have been enjoying mine rather than waiting for a chance to get one. After having a lot of fun with the SBL I picked up a 336 BL which has been great also.

Suck My Glock's post reminded me of this:

    9mm revolvers

I was gonna say the 929 is the only 9mm revolver I have. It is my primary competition revolver and I shoot it quite a but. It is great and I like it being in 9mm because it is easier to load ammo for than the .38 Mid (cut down .38 SPL) ammo I load for my 8 shot .357 revolver. I am getting ready...

    458 Socom

I have a lot of fun with mine. I was already making bullets and loading for .458" (45-70 & .460 WBY) bullets so it was an easy choice. I also didn't want to mess with needing different magazines, just use Lancer 5.56 mags and you are set. I primarily shoot cast bullets that I Powder Coat and...

25 ACP Out Of Stock Everywhere

I just loaded up a few hundred rounds of .25 ACP last month. I hadn't loaded it in years but decided to since I had all the components and that amount will last a long time. I shoot it in my HK4 which has conversions for .22LR/.25 ACP/.32 ACP/.380 AUTO. I usually shoot it in .32 with my Walther...

Polymer-coated LHP - Why oh why can't I find these?

As was said above, the HP makes it hard to cast commercially in quantities using a commercial grade casting machine. There are some smaller commercial casters https://www.mattsbullets.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=65&zenid=phgdnedfigf2skunoqm7vb5k91 that do cast by hand using all types of...

    38 super ?

I started with super when I built up a comp gun in it back in the 90's and it is still used a lot in competition because it has the case volume to be able to use slower powders and generate more gas for the compensators. As others have said it is basically "long" 9mm. What many don't know is...

    Ar15 upper in 458 Socom.

I just like that classic box with the elephant, makes a good backdrop. That is my "big" .458" so that is why when people ask about the recoil of my 45-70 or .458 SOCOM I have to say it is subjective. My .460 Weatherby is a Ruger #1H which weighs about 8 pounds so when you are shooting full power...

    Ar15 upper in 458 Socom.

Recoil is subjective but since it is in an semi-auto the recoil is not bad at all. That 500 gr. is my normal "heavy" shooting bullet but it is not the heaviest one I make and shoot for the SOCOM. In the PIC below you can see a 600 gr. solid and a 570 gr. HP I cast from the NOE MOAB mould...

    Ar15 upper in 458 Socom.

I have a Rock River Arms upper and it has served me well. I reload and shoot jacketed bullets and lots of my own cast bullets mostly. Reloading is mostly straight forward as long as you use the correct tools and you have a correct chamber. It seems that many of the problems with the SOCOM is...

Basically a 6PPC, been shooting it since the 90's.

    AR 45 UPPER INFO NEEDED

I built up an Olympic blowback upper on a Cav Arms MKII lower so I could use a bunch of grease gun mags I had. I then decided to get a dedicated GG mag lower for it and got a CNC lower finished for it. I also took the opportunity to update the upper with a different forearm and optic...

Need some straightforward machining done for reasonable $

I need about 0.125” taken off the back of two Areo precision handguards. It is just a simple end mill cut with no real precision other than being square. I don’t mind paying a fair price but one smith I checked had a $70 setup fee for each piece plus the regular labor charge? I decided to see...
