    Laser saddle for 990 Aftershock

Just got one of the first Mossberg 990 Aftershocks here in Tucson, and I love the gun. I have the basic model, but I'd like to try the Crimson Trace laser saddle. Does anyone know the part number that fits this gun? I've written Crimson Trace, but have yet to get an answer. Thanks!

    Training for old farts ?

Here I am, going on 65, back surgery, can't run, can't squat. Still shoot every week in the desert, but I'd like to sharpen my skills. Too embarrassed to shoot with athletic men running and gunning. Back hurts and cranky sometimes. Is there anything in Tucson I can get involved in with my...

    WOOPS. 450 degree air fryer

I may have screwed up. I wet tumbled a batch of handgun brass and threw it in the air fryer for 15 minutes to dry. Only later did I realize I had the fryer set to 450 degrees. The brass came out all discolored. Did I accidently anneal it? Oh, well. Reloaded the brass and taking my chances. I...

    Charter arms current reputation?

I've been around guns for over 35 years, and always heard bad things about Charter arms. The thing is, they make the only affordable revolver (that looks any good?) in 32 H&R magnum. The call it "The professional". Are they any better than they used to be? Thanks for your input! Brian In...

    P80 PF45 kits

Please forgive my ignorance, as I've been away from the hobby for a few years. I'm back again, with an urge to build another Glock compatible pistol. I've seen so called P80 "76%" kits, and my take is that it was a temporary measure to get around vaguely written law. But I'm interested in...

legal insurance if the ATF visits

Like the title implies, is there a legal insurance plan that will cover the complications involved if the ATF comes knocking on your door? Like most of you, I follow all firearms rules, and have been a lawful gun owner for over 30 years. Unfortunately, in the current political climate, we all...

    I just don't see $7000.00 here!

https://firearmsdepot.com/taran-tactical-2011-combat-master-wide-body/?avad=211021_b265c3069 Labor is expensive. I get it. Thats why a Wilson or an Ed Brown or Fusion is so expensive. So I get it that a custom handgun can be $3000.00 or more. But I just don't see 7 large here. Maybe 2K on a...

    AK 47 or AKM?

A question for the AK experts out there. It is my understanding that the first AK-47 was stamped steel, but production problems forced the Soviets to change to a milled receiver. After they worked the tooling and production bugs out, they went to the stamped steel receiver we use to this day...

Top things I love/hate about desert shooting

What I LOVE about shooting in the desert: >FREEDOM. I have friends from other states that I communicate with, and when I tell them I drive out into the desert every weekend to go shooting, they are amazed when I tell them its totally legal. I've been shooting in the Arizona desert for 22 years...

    Hearing protection with mufflers?

First, I'll admit to not being the shiniest marble in the drawer. But I have to ask the experts here. On YouTube, seems almost everyone shooting using a silencer/supressor/muffler is also using ear protection of some kind. I own several silencers/supressors/mufflers, and to me, one of the...

Can a leftie learn to shoot right handed?

Let me preface this question by adding some background. I'm 61, and I've been shooting for most of my life. When I was a kid, my parents gave me a Daisy with the only instruction of "Don't shoot your eye out." Being left handed, and left eye dominant, I naturally took to shooting the Daisy left...

    Vaccine exemption options?

My employer is hinting that to keep my job, they may require me to get the government jab. I won't do this. I have my own reasons, mostly freedom of choice. Oddly, this is the reason I moved to Arizona in the first place. Obviously, guns and shooting play a big part in freedom. I need to find...

    Dying from farts

Now, I don't have the stats to back this up, but I've fairly certain I read a few months back that "the vid" could be transmitted through any and all bodily gasses that are released, therefore the risk of getting "the vid" is greatly increased by inhaling potentially deadly farts. If this is...
