After 2 years, they are back. The classes assume the shooter has no firearm experience. Class is 1 hour classroom, then an hour on the range. Pistols, rifles and ammo is provided. A great way to get more folks interested in the sport. https://www.azgfd.com/shooting/basf/classes/

Was out there around 3, was windy and cold. About 5 other shooters out there, very different than main range. Very laid back, not chaotic like main range. Enjoyed the experience, they had about 50 total shooters for the day, not bad for a grand opening. Targets were at 150 yds, 200 and 300.

I used the same outfit that originally installed it. While he was working on unbolting it from the floor, I asked him how hard is it to get into, say if the owner forgot the combo. He smiled and said he's had to do that a couple of times. Seems it takes some serious industrial tools and cutters...

Shoot steel at 100-200-300 yards, just west of the DPS range. Will be open a couple weekends a month to gauge interest. Will be closed M-F, as will be used by LE. Grand opening Saturday 12/29, 8am - 4:30pm. Pay at the main range.
