Right or wrong? I say wrong. Rahimi is a piece of garbage, but that's why they say bad cases make bad law. Even garbage people have rights; see Miranda. What the majority overlooked is that now every vengeful spouse will accuse the other of threatening violence -- sometimes truthtfully, sometimes not. What's the judge to do? If he finds no risk, and the accused spouse kills the accuser, then the judge gets crucified. If he finds there is risk, and the wrongly accused spouse does not kill the accuser, then rights were violated, but it's no skin off the judge's nose. The judge will always err on the side of believing the accusation.

Yeah, Thomas is the only one with his head on straight.

But fortunately there are still some gun cases to be decided. Unfortunately, if they couldn't get this one right, it destroys any confidence they might get the next couple anywhere on target.
