Questions about NFA, now that Biden might be President
A) Does anyone know if NFA ownership is going to be targeted? AKA: SBR, suppressors, automatics, and AOWs?
B) If Biden bans high capacity magazines, as in they are illegal to own... owning an NFA gun whether an SBR, AOW or automatic is going to be now a 1 shot hand fed at a time... or fed by some lame 10 rd magazine as in a pinned or modified high cap mag. Am I correct?
So basically, how up the creek can we expect to go?
Not on the same topic, but how many posts do I have to make in order to post in the for sale section?

Depends on whether you plan on complying or not.

I don't want to break the law.
So it 'might' be a long journey down that creek.

From what I heard, it sounded like Biden wanted to make all +10 round magazines NFA items. My guess is that, if he and the Dems get their way, they will ultimately come after all NFA items. It could be easy to do in the future since they are obviously all registered.
Unfortunately, I just lost all my +10 round magazines in a horrible boating accident, so I won't be registering any myself.

Well, regardless of what scheme they pursue, they know better than to go door-to-door trying to confiscate anything. They will simply let time do their work. Make it illegal, and eventually all the outlaws get old and die. Their kids will be raised in the gov't schools to be compliant little lemmings and they'll turn in your stuff after you croak.

This seems like the most likely route to me.Suck My Glock wrote: ↑November 8th, 2020, 3:00 pm Well, regardless of what scheme they pursue, they know better than to go door-to-door trying to confiscate anything. In the event they did begin knocking on doors and demanding hardware, I'm sure any citizens physically combative to the idea would be smeared by the media as unhinged extremists. But I'd figure after a handful of those scenarios, they'd think twice before going to the next house. Playing the long game just makes more sense.
A) It really wouldn't surprise me if they did go for an outright ban. Just one look at other states and their laws regarding NFA items gives a decent idea at how far they can go. Compliance with said ban is another story. When bumpstocks were banned, how many of those got turned in vs how many were sold?Mike85220 wrote: ↑November 8th, 2020, 11:08 am A) Does anyone know if NFA ownership is going to be targeted? B) From what I heard, the standard capacity mag thing sounded more like each magazine would require its own tax stamp. If someone has seen otherwise, please correct me.

That is correct in regard to Biden's proposed plan. $200 a pop!randall_dubya wrote: ↑November 8th, 2020, 4:20 pm From what I heard, the standard capacity mag thing sounded more like each magazine would require its own tax stamp. If someone has seen otherwise, please correct me.

Peaceful compliance has been attempted elsewhere in the world. It usually ends up turning violent toward the well-intentioned. No thanks.Cubiclerevolt wrote: ↑November 10th, 2020, 11:10 amThe only logical conclusion of someone with their nuts still attached to them.

Right which is why I am saying I will not comply.AZ_Five56 wrote: ↑November 10th, 2020, 11:18 amPeaceful compliance has been attempted elsewhere in the world. They want to make me a criminal, then I will be a criminal. Failing to pay 1 stupid stamp will be the same as being caught weapons I actually want to own.
The whole "I lost my guns in a boat accident" is the same weak response as those who buried their guns or hid them in the walls of their homes. If it is time to lose them, it is time to use them.

With all the mask wearers I see in gun stores there will be a 99 percent compliance. I told one guy in a gun store why you buying that AR, you will just turn it over to the police as you are a mask wearing pussy. Guy at gun store laughed. If you are bowing down to a f*** mandate you will comply with gun control. All you LE lovers may soon find out what pieces of s*** they really are. They will say just doing my job. My bet is military will follow their orders as well. I am leaving the country when this s*** goes down and I will not return.
I don't believe Biden will be sworn in but you will be lucky if you are left with a sling shot when he gets done and antifa and blm will rule the country.
