Just sayin

http://www.azcdl.org - The Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL) is an IRC 501(c)(4) non-profit, all volunteer, non-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to the principles contained in Article II, Section 2 of the Arizona Constitution that "All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights." The rights of self-defense and bearing arms are the foundation for all other rights. Our freedom of speech, our freedom from unreasonable searches, our rights against self-incrimination, our right to bear arms, all of our fundamental rights only exist because we stand firmly resolved to preserve them. The AzCDL exists to strengthen that resolve.

Finally put my money where my mouth is.
The site wasn't working well, so I talked to Fred and he is great to talk to, and says "call me anytime."
He also explained to me how the NRA has spread itself way to thin. For example, one guy has like Hawaii and the left coast, so he doesn't waste much time in the more liberal states.
My thought was, aren't those the states they should be trying harder in?
It's like if you come to AZ, TX, PA and such, you're really preaching to the choir....
Anyways glad to finally say, I'm still not heavy into politics, but I'm doing what I can to help the cause.

Yep, i'd bet only a small percentage on this site are members, seems to be the case on a lot of sites, lotsa talk, but no walking.

need to get younger folks involved, as we old codgers are dying off pretty fast.

I'm also a life member. If you're a firearms owner, AZCDL is one of the best to belong to.

The predominant answer was AZcdl. I figure it's way worth $30 a year, until I can just suck it up and be a life member someday. The thing that irks me, for those of us who don't know, is that most everybody can only say the NRA doesn't do spit, or doesn't care about gun rights, but can't point to specific ideas as to why we shouldn't join them. But I'm not looking to, so don't flame me on that
The people who say the NRA doesn't do spit are people who have no idea what they really are doing.

I can guarantee you that if they didn't exist we wouldn't be carrying guns today and that's a fact.

It's also cheaper to join at the gun shows. Best time to do it if you're thinking about it and already going to the gun show.

If you are not already a member, NOW IS THE TIME to join.

The Arizona version of the bump-stock ban is so vague it could be interpreted to include almost any trigger upgrade to the factory trigger.

It states anything that is designed to “accelerate the rate of fire”. That means, binaries are gone along with the bump-stocks and could include any short reset triggers and many other items designed for competition shooting like 3 gun.

Read the blue section, which is the addition.
