Re: Best Semi-Auto Shotgun
What's your favorite color? It all depends on your favorite color.
Ask vague questions, get vague answers. What do you want this shotgun to do? Trap/Skeet? Dove hunting? Home Defense? 3-Gun? Look cool in your safe and impress your idiot friends when you go shoot s*** in the desert and leave your shot up old microwaves in a wash?

Re: Best Semi-Auto Shotgun
I don't have any idiot friends. I don't shoot 3 gun and I don't shoot microwaves in the wash.
I do shoot trap and skeet , dove hunt , and I do it all with the same shotgun. It even works for home defense if I want.
I am not sure how cool it looks in the safe because the door is always closed.
When it comes to a semi auto shotgun I prefer the Remington 1100.

I like the Beretta 1301 Tactical recently.

I used to be a fan of the Remington 1100 but the newer Remington guns aren't worth buying anymore.
If you are an NRA instructor (even an RSO qualifies) you get a discount on Beretta guns.

Re: Best Semi-Auto Shotgun
I agree , the newer Remingtons aren't what they used to be , but an older 1100 that is in good condition is hard to beat.
I haven't bought a new shotgun in years. So I can't personally vouch for anything new.
I guess I'm old school I like the older
Remington model 1100
Remington model 11
Browning model A5

Imo it's a toss up between Benelli M2 and M4. I'm bias so I'll say M4, but the M2 is just as good.

Re: Best Semi-Auto Shotgun
Benelli M4 hands down. I've met plenty of people who hate the price but never anyone that didn't like the shotgun.

Had a Beretta AL391 which is highly touted. Could not get used to the way it handled. Went back to the 1100 and have not missed it.
