High Standard Riot magazine spring

#1

Post by Dinojuice »

Hello, I have a High Standard 12g Riot shotgun that has a weak magazine spring.
I searched to no avail for a High Standard spring and a universal spring. My question is, can
I just measure it and use a big brand name spring?
It's an 18" barrel and the magazine tube goes to the end of the barrel, minus 1" for the
end cap/housing.

I like to start long and trim until I can fit the correct number of dummy rounds in the tube. Then test for function, as you can have too much spring tension. Remember it's easier to trim a coil at a time till it's right, then cut short and have to start with a new spring.

Wolff makes quality springs at a good price. One of the first places I check.
