I dont think so . the ambi is a part kind of socketed thing if memory serves. I wont be making the swap on mine for another week so if you still haven't messed with it I can give you more info then.Pro2a wrote: ↑March 8th, 2019, 5:39 am Question
Is it possible to just cut the lever off the right side, and file and polish the end?
Or would that make it not retain properly, hence the need for a sear pin?
I’m guessing the sear pin is grooved, with something to retain it from working its way out. I don’t know a 1911 trigger like I know an AR trigger.

Sounds good
I did do a swap on a single stack RIA, ignored the sear pin at the time, but sold it shortly after. The double stack is clearly a wider frame though.

Re: 1911 holster condition question
Coincidence: I bought a Comp-Tac Infidel (IWB) holster yesterday. I didn't need another holster, but it was on sale for a dollar, so how could I not buy it?
It has the "guard" on the side, so at first opportunity, I will saw it off with a Dremel cutoff wheel. (Unless you guys recommend a hacksaw or tin snips or something else.)

I used tin snips- at the corners, I clipped a small triangle off at a 45, and then those two corners became rounded with sandpaper
