Mesa gun show
Anyone make it out? Thinking of going and looking for old surplus pistols and rifles. Worth it?

Re: Mesa gun show
It depends on what you are looking for. You almost have to go to to find what you are looking for (kinda like the old lottery slogan, You can't win if you don't play) There is a guy with a table full of old Luger pistols and various tables of old mil surplus.

Re: Mesa gun show
I’m pretty much going just cause I have some coin put aside in the gun fund. No particular thing in mind but figure I’d see more stuff then the classifieds here and armslist. Just wanted to know if it was a decent show or one of the ones you can walk in 20 minutes lol
Re: Mesa gun show
You can walk Mesa in 45 minutes or so. They advertise it as 250 tables and I have no idea if that's correct or not. Parking is free, though.

Re: Mesa gun show
somebody at the match went to it and said its getting better than a few years ago... it used to be a pretty solid show before the 2008 recession and miwall was a regular attendee.
Re: Mesa gun show
MiWall still doesn't go there though.

Re: Mesa gun show
Mesa gun show just isn't worth it anymore...and I live 5 minutes away and parking is free. Same dealers in the same spots selling the same overpriced s*** they've had for years (not much different than any other gun show, come to think of it). The room is smaller than one of the side rooms in the fairgrounds Ice House. It also feels like the ratio of junk/non-firearms stuff to actual firearms vendors is higher than a show at the fairgrounds.
Also, "250 vendors" is complete bullshit. 250 tables I'll buy with most vendors taking several tables, but not 250 vendors.
It only has two redeeming qualities;
1. There is a powder/ammo vendor outside the entrance, so you don't need to pay for admission.
2. Free parking.
I will only go there to sit outside when I have something for sale.

Read my post again. It clearly states 250 tables, not vendors and that's what the Crossroads website says also.QuietM4 wrote: ↑January 14th, 2019, 9:14 amAlso, "250 vendors" is complete bullshit. 250 tables I'll buy with most vendors taking several tables, but not 250 vendors.

The powder/ammo vendor outside is a redeeming quality? You have got to be kidding. Have you looked at his prices?
Talked to him when I left the show and he was selling .22WMR Aguila for a "sale" price of $15.00/box of 50. That's almost twice as much as much as CCI Mini Mag .22WMR sells for inside the Phoenix Crossroads show and inside the Mesa. His primers were at $35.00/1K, which is $10.00/K more than Phoenix or what you could buy them for inside the Mesa show.
I gave up and walked after seeing those two prices.

I could pay admission (and did) and save a ton of money inside over his outside prices.

So they're back. I wonder if they lost some California gun shows?

Re: Mesa gun show
I have driven up from Tucson for the last couple and have not been disappointed. Frankly, I have found it better the the one we have down here.

So they probably have beanie babies, beef jerky, Nazi memorabilia, accidental discharges, and famous high quality reloads.
