That's because it's still illegal on a Federal level at this point.

Just because a state makes it legal doesn't mean the Federal government does.
Not sure why this is so hard to understand.
You would think an educated man (the doctor ) would know this.
It won't be long before a drug test is required before you purchase a gun.

Probably a ploy to get state legal vs fed marijuana legality in front of the Supreme Court. Trump should legalize weed at the federal level maybe 6 months before the 2020 election, might help him win.

Even if the law changes, I don’t think many FFL’s would comply. The FFL doesn’t have to sell anyone a firearm...I’ve rejected several people because of poor gun handling/lack of safety, smelling of alcohol, and smelling of marijuana. I’ve even had a few customers try to use their medical marijuana card as supplemental proof of address before....after answering 11e “no”.

You know we use to have a gun show here in Glendale AZ. It's not here anymore but they would sell alcohol and whiskey at the venue. I asked ATFE about it and they didn't care if you were drinking and buying firearms and ammo. They even had a table at the show and watched it while it was happening.QuietM4 wrote: ↑March 10th, 2019, 9:28 am Even if the law changes, I don’t think many FFL’s would comply. They sell beer at the Phoenix fair grounds shows...I don't have a problem with that. The person I refused to sell to was visibly drunk beyond a few beers, slurring his words.
I'm sure thousands of people lie on a 4473 every month, in one way or another.

I've been to a range in North Dakota that served beer a few feet from the firing line. The idea is that you would shoot trap, stop shooting, take a few steps backwards, and drink.Ranger1 wrote: ↑March 10th, 2019, 4:16 pmYou know we use to have a gun show here in Glendale AZ. Yes but it's funny. Back when Jan Brewer was governor. She passed a law saying you can carry a gun in a bar. If the bar didn't want guns in there they needed to post a sign. A lot of people were out raged that people could carry a gun into a bar. Now they are allowed to sell alcohol at a gun show. Where's the out rage. I can get drunk as sh#t and walk out with what ever I want and the ammo that goes with it. The hypocrisy.

I'll have to check a 4473. Don't recall any questions about alcohol.

There is no such question; alcohol isn't a controlled substance as defined by federal law.
Question 11e reads;
"Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance? WARNING: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medical or recreational purposes in the state where you reside."

I don't drink at all ever, but correct me if I'm wrong, it is legal to carry while drunk in Arizona. Right?
