MKIV safety
Put a Volquartsen trigger into my Ruger MKIV last night. Volquartsen's instructions and a Youtube video both stress care with the detent on the safety. Well--after about the third time of redoing part of it because of previous mistakes, I dropped the safety and the detent and spring disappeared. Searching for "MKIV safety detent" yielded several possibilities for MKI,II,and III. I found no source for the MKIV part. Does anyone know if the MKIV uses the same part? Seems logical that it wouldn't have changed, but...?

Re: MKIV safety
Thanks. I emailed Volquartsen.
FWIW, I learned the MKIV part is plastic and the previous models used a metal detent. Found a source that lists the MKIV parts, but they are out of stock.
After a bit of digging, I am fairly sure the metal detent and spring for the previous models will work. The shipping was about the price of the parts (about $5). I'll know for sure in a few days.

Call Ruger and explain to them what happened, they might send you one.

Re: MKIV safety
FWIW the replacement parts I ordered (metal detent and spring from the earlier models) fit and work great.
