Eighty years ago today, December 7, 1941, the United States found itself compelled into World War II.
A day to remember, which in the following years, 16 million Americans served, 291,000 died and 1,076,000 were injured.
With only about 240,000 WW2 veterans still alive, today is a good day to reach out to one and thank them for their service and the freedoms that we enjoy.

Always a somber day in our home growing up. Dad knew people that were involved.
