Campus carry and suppressor bills in Congress

http://www.azcdl.org - The Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL) is an IRC 501(c)(4) non-profit, all volunteer, non-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to the principles contained in Article II, Section 2 of the Arizona Constitution that "All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights." The rights of self-defense and bearing arms are the foundation for all other rights. Our freedom of speech, our freedom from unreasonable searches, our rights against self-incrimination, our right to bear arms, all of our fundamental rights only exist because we stand firmly resolved to preserve them. The AzCDL exists to strengthen that resolve.

Campus carry and suppressor bills in Congress

Arizona Constitution Article 2 Section 26 states that " The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself or the state SHALL NOT BE IMPAIRED".

SB 1020 Allows CCW Holders to Carry on Campus
SB 1020 would prohibit the governing board of any university, college or community college from banning the possession of a concealed weapon by a concealed weapon permit holder or the lawful transportation or storage of a firearm on a campus.
Responsible gun owners should not have to surrender their right to keep and bear arms in order to work at, or attend, a university! Your right to armed self-defense does not have geographical boundaries. WE have let the colleges think that they are above the law. Everyone reading this can correct that.

SB 1014 would remove suppressors from the list of prohibited weapons. Remember Nunchuks were illegal in previous years and we help get that changed.
Both bills will be heard SB 1020 will be heard by the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, March 12 at 9:00 AM in House Hearing Room 4. AzCDL expects strong opposition to this bill, so if you are able to attend the hearing in person, please do so! It will make a huge impression on the committee members when they see a room filled with AzCDL t-shirts.
If you plan to attend the hearing in person and would like to address the committee, you must sign in to RTS and indicate that you wish to speak.
If you do not wish to address the committee or are unable to attend, you can still use RTS to express your support for this bill.

Thanks
Thom

Is there a way to find if you've been registered for RTS, I filled out the request at AZCDL since I never go to PHX and I never heard any more about it, I suppose I could get ahold of someone at AZCDL and ask them but if anyone knows here it'll be appreciated.
