Mind blown... On the other hand... it's "Army" so <shrug> what do you expect...

(sorry - just a little inter-service ribbing from a crayon-eater)

Lol right! I don't want to know what would have happened if we would have done this when I was in the Marine Corps!

If we had done something like this while still in the Marine Corps we wouldn't be here to comment on this thread....

Yeah, I’ve heard of such things.

Though I’m betting in those cases an officer or two probably got retired…

We had a guy misplace his rifle once.
He carried a broom around for the next month.

As a marine going through a technical school at Ft Lee - I had an army Private tell me that she thought "we was craaaazzzyyy... cuz... ya'll always curryin' ur guuunsss..." LOL

Turns out that their entire shooting experience was 10 rds of .22lr through an adapted M-16 and 1 (ONE) round of 5.56 - that "really scared her..."

In my best old Marine Corp voice... "I s*** you not..."

You are not wrong. We made a guy carry a rock for a week or two because he left his rifle more than an arms reach away (more like 20 feet probably). His rock had a serial number and everything 🤣
