Quick Access Rifle Safe

Post by AZ1 »

Looking for options and recommendations for a quick access rifle safe. Something biometric or push button (mechanical or digital) preferred. Can be mounted to floor, wall, furniture, inside automobile, etc.

I have a holster that mounts below my steering wheel. A drawer works pretty well so does under a pillow unless you don't trust the tooth fairy.

A guy was selling those at the last Crossroads Gun show. I don't remember the price but I remember thinking it was very reasonable for the work involved.

I think the large ones were $350 or $450

Is that flag box a wall mount? Does anyone have links to a vendor?

I moved to a 2-story and need to add secure rifle storage upstairs. My old plan was to grab my handgun to get to the big safe to grab a rifle. But with the safe on the ground floor I need something to keep a rifle upstairs that will also keep teenage boys locked out.

One thought is to just put the rifle behind the door and put the bolt in one of those pistol safes- it won't work without the bolt / BCG and should be fairly quick to reassemble.

Weird, thought I posted a reply but it didn’t go through.

My bad, I saw the flag case pic was from the tacticalwall site. Has anyone actually used their stuff? The magnetic locks seem like any magnet could open them.

I’d have to rethink my garage storage if I wanted to just lock up a bolt since I have a bunch of spare parts on shelves in the garage. I’d rather just have a small upstairs rifle safe but I’ll think about that option.
