I hoped so as well...but someone will always fill that role, unfortunately.

Back to the original topic;
Good on Rep Matt Gaetz for making this public...but to anyone who has any experience with the BATFE, it comes as no surprise. It's not like they are the only regulatory agency that makes up the rules as it goes along, but the ATF has needed to be reigned in for decades. Hell, the USPS can't raise the cost of a postage stamp by $.01 without congressional approval, but somehow the BATFE can just decide they want to change how measurement works on a whim, or what constitutes "intent". They have a very bad habit of just dropping charges against people when it appears the judge is going to side with the defendant, so there isn't a legal precedent set that counteracts BATFE "policy". They can't seem to find/keep any director worth a damn...they should have been disbanded decades ago.

Got papers in 11 days. You aren't required to carry anything.

You are if you cross state lines (form 5320.20), that’s why I went with a brace rather than an SBR for my wife’s “pistol”.

If I’ve got to jump through those hoops, I’ll just fill it out for one of my select fire M4s, or MP5s and make it a real party!

She travels every month to Texas, and for her the short length and light weight make it a perfect travel weapon along with her choice of handgun.

Sorry, not trying to hate on you.

But a special form is required to travel interstate with an NFA item, not so with a pistol brace.

Were it not for that, I would have just made her a SBR and registered it.

Not directed at you. Certain people keep popping in to further my point....all while trying to argue it.

So, there's this thing with the ATF (surprised someone hasn't chimed in with "it's the BATFE ya know..") trying to fiddle with brace laws?

Trumptards didn’t care. They were the ultimate Fudds. Rationalizing away their rights. They wouldn’t put on on their deer rifle, so banning them wasn’t a big deal.

Next is triggers and magazines, shortly followed by additional import restrictions, ammo restrictions.

They’ll never blame trump for heading us down this road, because Trump is never wrong in their eyes.
Just like him, they'll never admit when they're wrong.

Yep. AZS was once a great resource, but too often now it is reduced to childish bickering. I say lock it up and start another thread on the topic. If the same offenders start crap again, ban ‘em.

AZ1182 wrote: June 18th, 2020, 9:50 pm Try harder please. papers are papers and you made papers your hill to die on, so you got that argument slapped in your face. You did say if pulled over and not having paperwork for that NFA item, so I used what you said in context. But keep speaking bad information at your buddies in a language you seem to not understand either, because you cannot comprehend your reading whatsoever that you falsely accused of what you're doing fully yourself.
Yep.... This Ranger1....GREAT, I love this guy
This guy is more entertaining than 17-21-23..Oh wait

Blocked. See ya. Not.

Edit: If you're wanting to keep the peace, then don't quote me or are you wanting your post to be bait? Then that tells me it was you all along that's the actual problem.
Woohoo... I will not have to read 1182's responses to my comments??
Best not being followed by someone who apparently has toxic personality disorder and that just makes my day better.

I agree the ATF is wrong in doing this. The brace is an accessory that helps stabilize the pistol and improve the accuracy of it. It makes contract with the lower arm, not the shoulder, so it's not a stock. If this goes through what next? Muzzle brakes /compensators? They also improve accuracy and stability of a firearm. I'm glad to see that there's still some Congressmen that stand up for our rights.
