Safe Passage Through Gila River and Other Navajo Reservations

Anyone got a link where I can check out safe passage through the reservations, specifically the Gila River?

Want to pass through there on my way South but I've heard differing opinions.

I've never went south, but used to do a bunch of hunting on the north side of the GC, had drive straight thru Navajo res land to get there. I'm pulling a camper + guns in the back seat. Cased of course (Ruger 30-06 bolt gun) hard to use as a assault weapon. Say on the main roads, if stopped for speeding, they don't usually use radar, just stop watches. A buddy got stopped and got a ticket, they never looked in the back seat. He decided to try and fight it. Lost big time. OUCH !

Yeah whatever the posted limit is, do at least 5mph under, and for gods sake I hope you don’t hit any of their million dollar horses or cows

It is my understanding that you are good to go on state highways. For example I10 and Highway 87 both go through the middle of the Gila River Indian reservation.

Nice mask. Stick to the highway and you'll be fine.
