That's great news, good to see our tax money being spent on something I can agree on.

Nah, This is the plan they had that required public hearings. The only thing the hearings accomplished was them checking the box that they complied while implementing their plan.

First accident at a non-BLM operated shooting area will start their march to close all other BLM land to "recreational shooting".

First accident at a BLM operated shooting area will start their march to safety restrictions requiring monitoring and RO presence at the sites.

Desert shooting on AZ public lands has changed forever.

This...seems like good news? I don’t know I’m always suspicious when the government appears to be doing something in our favor.

its the beginning of the end, once they claim that they have shooting spots, which if one was at meetings, would find that what would accomodate maybe 60 plus will barely allow maybe 25 to shoot, so again once up and going as noted, they will push to have no other shooting areas on blm land, and threaten shut downs, dealing with the blm is like dealing with a politician up for re election bullshiat flys faster than anything .
i always hope for the best, but the blm is absolutely the worst dept of all, just ask any rancher, farmer or miner about their failure to comply with their own agenda and plan.

one can always again, hope.

Nothing in the East valley, Pinal County, but its a start. Hopefully they will see how popular they are and there will be more.

from the article:

Baldy Mountain: Five steel targets, 100-, 200-, 300-, 400- and 500-yard shooting lanes, a shooting platform, information signs, kiosk, and 14 gravel parking spaces

Saddleback Mountain: Six steel targets, 200-, 300-, 400-, 500- and 700-yard shooting lanes, a shooting platform, trash receptacles, and gravel parking

Church Camp: 50-, 100-, and 200-yard shooting lanes, two concrete shooting platforms, gravel parking area, vault toilet, trash receptacles, two shade structures, and a pedestrian path

Box Canyon: Three steel targets, one steel target frame, three 25-, two 50-, and one 100-, 200- and 300-yard shooting lane(s), five shooting platforms, a sporting clay area, gravel parking lot, two vault restrooms, signs, and kiosk

Narramore Road: 25-, 50-, 100-yard shooting lanes or bays, sporting clay/skeet shooting area, three gable roof concrete shooting platforms, metal shade structures, graded area and gravel parking.

I wonder if there is going to be anything for 3 gun or IDPA at these locations.

What's with the low count of steel targets? What are you supposed to do with those?

No prob
I was just tying to think if this was the plan where they have their agenda, hold the required public meeting, not listen, then get on with their agenda
