They are not giving you the run around. You can not target shoot within city limits and as such they can not tell you where you can go in other jurisdictions. As you feel you are getting the run around it sounds as if you would likely be the type to say well so and so said i could.

You want to shoot find and open range facility. There are several in the valley that offer membership

Go do what you want. You just have to yell "I thought this was America!" when someone stops you.

Forest roads are open. Only "established" areas are closed.

Every indoor range is open. Pick one.

Rio Salado is open, but busy on the weekends.

So established areas are closed and thats not a big deal? This should make the news like the skate park that was closed and people made a stink and got it reopened. Its all fun and memes until we lose our rights.

“Established” means a picnic table and a ramada. Maybe a fire ring.

That only leaves you with the remaining 99.7% of public lands.

Relax, Francis.

They are not giving you the run around cheese. They can tell you where you can NOT shoot, they cannot tell you where you can except for established ranges. If they said go to chollo and redneck street and your dumbass got in trouble because you cant shoot there you would be blaming them and bitching about being set up. So since they cant give you THE answer you want its a run around.

Either pay for a membership somewhere or stfu and go out in the desert like most everyone else here and take your chances its ok to be there. Just stop blaming people for not getting the answer you want.

Love ya mikey

Its old, the man cant give someone the answer they want so its the run around or incompetence.

Well here is the answer. You CAN NOT target shoot in city limits anywhere I am aware of from South Carolina to San Diego, Nome to Houston except an established range.... those no shooting within city limits signs, silly me I didnt realize they meant something

Now see most agencies know this about most other jurisdictions so they wont suggest you go somewhere because when you end up in the wrong place you are still in a bad place. So rather than give bad information they say they dont know of a place. Thats not the run around its the truth. I guarantee you they dont carry a pocket guide saying you can shoot rocks here but not there for use

Tonto National Forest was open today, however in the not too near future, I can see them closing it for covid fire danger.

I read the whole thread twice and still don't know why it's titled "Has anyone been kicked out of public shooting sites?"

Was out at Church Camp Road last weekend and I'm surprised it wasn't shut down by the sheriff.

Too many people trying to use the same limited area. Everyone seemed to be getting along and being safe, but it only takes one.

No, but I got kicked out of the car wash yesterday, apparently they don't like it when you're there for 30 minutes with the vacuum hose down your pants...

Never. I have had a sheriff deputy watch and then approach but never kicked out of a shooting area.
