When I used to do IDPA, I did it very much. Since there is no IDPA close by, not so much anymore.

I try to do this when I shoot in the open desert as well from prone position under or around the truck

All the time in multigun competitions, which will hopefully start back up soon. Reverse kneeling off of an obstacle is a very stable shooting position.

As much as possible. I do USPSA at Pima--hoping it starts up again soon. Some guys seriously compete, I just shoot to keep skills up.
