Which bull-pup are top choices?
I'm thinking I might like to acquire a bull-pup.
I don't know a whole lot about the specifics but would like a versatile 5.56 platform that takes AR mags and as a remote possibly, other aftermarket AR add-ons.
What are the top 3 choices and ballpark new/used price range ?

Bull pups are fun until you have a catastrophic failure under your cheek. Or have to change a magazine quickly. Or clear a malfunction.
Kel-Tec RDB or IWI Tavor seem to be the most popular choices.

Yes, seems like Tavor definitely holds the market share.
I’ve always been leery of spending that much, as I’ve heard that the bull pup design pulls or pushes on a bar that actuates the trigger, making it heavier and gritty.
That was a few years back, maybe they’ve improved the design.

From reliability point of view the AUG is great. But they are all second place behind a good AR.

To answer your question, top three would be AUG, Tavor and I’m not sure, maybe the PS90.

So are AR M4's untill you have a catastrophic failure. Have you ever had a catastrophic failure on a bull pup? My vote would be for the Steyr Aug.

Re: Which bull-pup are top choices?
Yes, I have seen a catastrophic failures on a bullpup and a standard M4.
Standard M4 - out of battery fire, upper receiver fractured into 3 pieces, mag blew out. Shooter had a small scratch on his left forearm. Shooter standing 4 feet away had a brass fragment embed in his shoulder...just pulled it out and applied band-aid.
Tavor - over charge on reloaded ammo, left side ejection port (right handed shooter) blew pieces of bolt face, plastic, and brass casing fragments into the shooters right cheek, shattering two teeth and fracturing his right cheek bone.
So yeah, a few inches can make a difference.

Ok then I guess you better stick with the m4. In all my days of shooting, in the service and around the world I have only seen 4 major events with weapons. But I have to tell you any weapon can blow up and they all do. If I let the idea of a weapon blowing up scaring me into buying or not buying then I should stay at home and make cookies and play house. Sh!t happens. Bull pups are good, m4's are good, but in the end they can kill you.

I admit, as far as OOB, squibs and over charges ,I've had a few close calls over the years, but subconscious awareness of my rifle seems to have always saved the day... I must live in Kansas toto...
I've seen the AUG and it's clone, and the Tavor, of course. They are pricey fer sure... I've been shooting AR's since the 90's so was looking for something a little different... plus the idea of a SBR length without the tax is appealing...

KM Arms M17S. A friend of mine has both the .308 and the 5.56. Made in Chandler Arizona. Excellent trigger, unlike most Bullpups.

Looks good. How many rds does he have down range with it.

Knowing him, quite a few... He has a Dill on press and has the money for plenty of shooting.
