NICS SLOWDOWN OR SHUTDOWN?

#1

Post by samnev »

I don't know how true this is but I spoke to a major gun dealer and he said that it 's almost impossible to get a NICS check. Seems they need their employees that are still working on other tasks. Has any one had a problem getting an NCIS approval?

Sales are at record levels so it's probably overwhelmed the system.

eNICS has been shut down as of this morning. Phone checks are taking hours just to get an operator.

This is why I have a CCW.

Does anyone know if a Level One AZ IVP fingerprint card works as a NICS bypass?

Nothing gets you out of a NICS check, with the exception of a valid AZ CCW.

Ever since the governor Jane Brewer said, you don't need a ccw to carry concealed, that's when it took a sh!t.

Sorry about that...
When Governor Jan Brewer put into effect you no longer need a ccw to carry concealed, a large amount of people stopped getting ccw's. A friend commented to me one day, I don't need it to carry concealed anymore. I said ok but it's an express lane to getting a gun. They said they can run my background. I said that's a mistake. They didn't care. So less ccw's out there more of a backup with the background checks.

I'll bet a lot of folks are now wishing they didn't let their CCW's expire.

I have never had a CCW and it has never taken me more than 15 minutes to buy and walk out with a gun.
The way things are now it might be different , but I don't need to buy any guns now.

A friend of mine did just purchase a gun about a week ago and was delayed .
The FFL called him the next day and said his background check came in and he could come and pick up the gun.
This was the first time he has ever purchased a gun at a store.
