Count me as one of those wishing their CCW hadn't expired. Everytime I go to purchase a gun I have to wait 24 to 72 hours for my NICS to clear. Really wish I knew why I'm always delayed like that- never used to be.

NICS will be closed from 12am Sunday until 8am Monday morning. I believe the online checks will still work but if a store uses the phone method it will be closed. I heard this from a few gun store employees I know.

Just ordered a Ruger 10/22 charger online for my son. Hope this doesn’t become a bigger problem. I don’t mind waiting a few days though.

Do we have a Az FFL reading this thread?

I thought there was a legal amount of time allowed, that, if NICS didn't pass a purchase, it would be sold, anyway?

I think that only applies if they are trying to clear up a one the has been started and comes back delayed.

Dan...
PS. What I was told is that they are getting hammered with people buying weapons.

The issue is they cant even start it. The law relates to you submitting and them taking forever to actually do it. My understanding is that they cant even submit it.

Last week several local gun dealers were telling people they would call them when they got approval as it would take at least a couple of days. It's a little weird out there right now.

Don't forget that a sh*t ton of states recognize AZ CCW. Just another reason not to let it lapse.

keep renewing my CCW religiously... no matter how quick NICS checks are, with CCW is always quicker.
