Glockmonger Saiga12 (looking for opinions on $ value)

#1

Post by Suck My Glock »

A friend has this here Glockmonger special, a converted Saiga12 from back when they were still readily available. He's needing to raise funds and is wondering what it is worth. That can be hard to figure since Glockmonger is no longer around and neither are the Saigas.

Yeah, I know,...you'll trade a ham sandwich for this piece of schit and relieve him of his burden. Ha ha. :snooty:
Ok, now that the lame jokes are out of the way,....what is the opinion of this forum as to it's value?

You don't see them much anymore but several other guns have filled the gap so rarity doesn't really drive the price up. I owned a Glockmonger S12 twice but that was many years ago. Honestly I'd probably put it in the $800-$1000 range.

He did great work on Saigas. If he polished the internals it could go to $1,1100 to $1,200 if a buyer understood what they are getting.

Hmmm,... sorry, but, I think you pretty much got it covered,... "a ham sandwich for this piece of schit and relieve him of his burden. Ha ha. :snooty:",... I was never impressed with his work, always thought he was just a little bit above average builder.

Tell him to take the closest offer to,... HIS,... estimated value, and be done with it, and don't look back.

Gunsmiths need functional hands he had developed some pretty serious hand issues. Last I heard that maybe 3-5 years past?

He had and still has some health problems. He decided to get away from the gun biz and went a different direction.

Why his nonsense is as entertaining as Ranger Danger. I wouldn't miss it.

Shooter you just confirmed to me you are an idiot. I knew daniel as a friend, fellow hunter and a smith. At one point I refinished and refurbished firearms and he helped or did a lot for me. I always found his work to be top notch and still bump into some of it here and there and it still impresses me.

While he took on and did some projects i found odd or outlandish his work was always high quality.

He ceased work because it hurt too badly to do it, not because of a lack of skill. I miss him as well as Derek.

So while it may piss you off I believe you to be an idiot

Lobo,... I am sure you believe what you claim, about his quality,... but, you may also understand that your opinion of quality, may not be the same as someone else's.

No, you don't piss me off,... I don't know you,... I couldn't care less.

Have a nice day.

i have several of daniels pieces, and all well done, my saiga is very functional, does as intended, has joes gas puck in it, and pretty sure i've passed 1k rounds thru it before i parked it,

yes, personality wise he could and was an a**hole, but if you could stand an a**hole, well you'd get one helluva job completed. I do miss his attitude and work, and most of all his photography skill, man could take some pictures, one just has to learn to live with an a hole , hehhe, and he knows it. haven't seen him in a few years, but hear he is alive and well and doing again something he likes doing, good on him hopefully all works out.
much like hobbs's work i have a few and probably will till i'm dust
happy friday, ya smucks
