My CAPT (O6) picked this up somewhere and asked me what it's worth. I have no idea.
It looks like an OLD Smith and Wesson, otherwise, I got nuthin'...
Anyone know about these?

Well , looks like he's a winner.
Don't know a lot about them (will really need exam by an expert ) for true value.
Looks to me like a Number 3 second Model American. Or maybe a Russian #3 , depends on the caliber its chambered for .
Can't tell a lot from the pictures but the bottom end is probably $1000 or up from there ,depending .
Unless of course you find Belgian or Spanish Proof Marks or some such . It was a much copied gun and lots went to Mexico.
