To a normal person, an NFA registered can would indicate "Aha. So even FBI background checks, with fingerprints, and photographs, and $200 tax, and 9 month waiting period, don't work, so all those ideas are useless."

I would think, with this country being almost 75% white, media of any sort would check their prejudices and bias / racist reporting at the door! With the signs showing that white America has had enough of their lies and propaganda,... they may want to consider their political life's vulnerability and expectancy.
