Trump is circumventing the legal process of procuring funds with his "National Emergency". It will set a bad precedent. Any time a president can't get the votes for their agenda they will say it is a "National Emergency".

Im not sure why the wall costs so much.... the army has civil engineers, in sure they can design it and they are already on the govt payroll with no commissions or kickbacks to be had. That and they have to work on various projects anyhow. Get them off the dykes and levees along the mississippi and let the people who want to live below sea level shovel their own mud for awhile. The navy has the seabees who can build anything you can imagine. Convert all the old metal scrap war material instead of leaving it overseas and you have a good portion of the material needed. Seems relatively simple to a simple mind such as myself.
