Very nice quality for an AK.
Always liked the wood.
The only thing I was not really fond of was the bolt being painted/coated/whatever you call it that would come off when cleaning it.

this unit is probably one of the best machined units, tolerances a little more detailed, and on a usual note are pretty decent shooters, as the hunkys had some self respect on the units.
I've built on some of their kits (back in the day when they were plentiful and knew where to find them) and have to say, had nothing but pleasure building, shooting, and trading off, (some of which i regret, ugh that hindsite is awesome taint it.)

If you're talking about the pre-ban import from Kassnar then yes, a very fine quality AK and you'd be getting a good deal for anything under $1,000.
If it is a kit built gun using Hungarian parts kit, then like any rifles that came (back) into existence that way it all depends on the builder and the receiver used.
