from what I have seen, it can throw things that will spark on impact and with enough friction you get heat and even hot rocks will start a dry ass desert on fire.
I do know from personal experience that it will not catch on fire even if you strap it to a mostly empty propane bottle

I think the blue paint wound up being flammable and adding to the fire potential. I have had binary targets ignight cardboard target stands that it was in contact with.
