are there any valley companies that do firearms engineering?

If it doesn't fit the topic in any of the other forums, and is firearm-related, put it here!

I'm looking for a change in employment. I'm a mechanical engineer with a strong background in manufacturing.

I imagine Ruger has positions like that, but unfortunately i can't move my family up to Prescott (as much as I'd love to). I'm not if there's anywhere else large enough to do their own engineering?

I was wondering if there are any local firearms companies that would have a use for someone like me?

There are a lot of Smiths that have manufacturing licenses and build or machine ARs but the only company that comes to mind for engineering and development is Dillon Aero. They designed and build the M134 minigun.

Almost forgot Arms Industries in Litchfield Park.

https://armsindustries.com/ They do engineering.

Apply at Nammo Talley in Mesa. They are foreign owned but manufacture and design a lot of weapon systems used by the US. The LAW, Bunker Defeat Munition, other rocket systems, 40mm munitions, Berger Bullets, Sako, lapua, etc

Orbital/ATK (now Northrup Grumman) in Mesa and Chandler. Design and build all the guns for the apache, and many others. There are also a bunch of smaller machine shops in the Phoenix Area that build parts for Orbital/ATK.
