Are WA ccw residents going dark?

#1

Post by Suck My Glock »

Apparently over 11,000 ccw permit holders in WA have allowed their registrations/permits to lapse and have not renewed.

Some are trying to claim that this means folks are becoming less enamored by guns and have come to their senses about how they don't need them. But I wonder,...seeing the writing on the wall in their state, could these folks merely be desiring to no longer be in a database and have decided the papertrail on them should die?

Once in a db.... always in a db
The fact the one once owned a gun and had a ccw is a red flag that until proven otherwise (ie physical check) the gun still exists even if the paper doesn't.

I agree, once in the system, you are in forever. In fact, my guess is a special file of those who drop their CCW may possibly be created.

Personally, I believe in the natures laws of camouflage, like zebras running in a herd. If everyone has a CCW, the list tends to be a moot point.
