I have been invited to go to a spring training game at Scottsdale Stadium (Old Town Scottsdale, Osborn Road).
Do they have metal detectors/wands/patdowns?

Yep, if they don't want to be responsible for your personal protection while removing your ability to do so yourself, that is the best course of action. I've decline many invitations to similar, always declined.
