Value of a Tokarev
What would be the approximate value of a Vietnam era bringback Chinese Tokarev? No safety or import marks, but unfortunately it's been refinished.
Re: Value of a Tokarev
$350.00 - $800.00 depending on model BUT these are in original condition
Refinished kills its collector value. Maybe Half if lucky to sell at all
Collectors usually don't want refinished and today younger generation want plastic new stuff

If it has the capture papers that would help .. But yep if it has been Refin it kills the value a lot no matter how good it was done

I think the key is proving it's a Nam bringback. Some folks collect just that. Once in awhile import guns were missed or lightly marked. Chinese Tokarevs don't seem as valued as others but bringback is different.

It's an M20. One of the Chinese tokarevs that was made without any Chinese markings. As I understand the Chinese made these so they could sell them to whoever and then deny they were the source when they showed up in war zones.hairygreek wrote: ↑February 10th, 2024, 3:32 pm I think the key is proving it's a Nam bringback. AFAIK no M20 tokarevs were ever imported and thus they are all bringbacks. The no safety and lack of import marks help
