Starting in 2024. But, it's more than most states will consider.

I know that's what the article said, but upon reading the text of the act itself, it mentions Sept 1st as the day of enforcement.

Great. Because that worked so well in Parkland.
God forbid they should allow teachers to exercise their Constitutional rights to own and carry guns.

Other articles read like Texas teachers were allowed to previously carry when appropriate training had been completed. But, it was up to the specific district on the internal policy. Now, the districts will be required to provide the armed security. Armed teachers are the least expensive of the options written into the law.

Teachers can carry in TX. Infact many districts have teachers armed as well as the school Marshall program. Many districts are hiring private armed security cause there aren't enough police to go around.

And it's Seot 1st this year.
