And here I thought Florida had rights to any and all stories involving people over 60 and sword injuries.

Sure, call 9-1-1, wait for the police and be tenderized by a pitch fork!

This is kind of like a modern day version of the gladiator fights, in this case samurai sword vs. pitchfork. The lesson here seems to be that you should always have a backup weapon in case your primary weapons fails.

Besides The Judge I keep under my computer desk, I have various swords, knives, and even a triple balled morning star. So yea, there's always something within easy reach should I need it.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

So, his gun didn't work, and as a consequence, he got forked up.

I am just curious. How does a gun "jam" without getting a shot off?
- The gun wasn't loaded (or maybe he didn't know he was supposed to put a round in the chamber), therefore didn't go bang, therefore he said it "jammed"?
- It didn't have a round chambered, so he racked the slide and tried to "help" the slide go forward, inducing a malfunction ("jam")?
- The gun was loaded with defective ammunition, or ammunition in the wrong caliber, and he got a click instead of a bang?
- The gun had a manual safety or hammer-dropper that he forgot to disengage?
- The gun had a magazine safety, and in his hurry to grab his gun, he unintentionally released the magazine?
What other things can you think of that might cause a gun to malfunction without firing at least one shot?
