OK folks - we have a date, time and target. Those who expressed interest in the other thread are tagged at the bottom of this thread - but others are free to join us.
Please just let me know that you are coming so that I have a good census and we can make sure that we have everyone before we caravan in to the cleanup site.
I'll DM my phone number to those who confirm so that you can get in touch if something changes or you need directions.
We'll be cleaning up the "dump" site in the N/W Valley near Grand and Deer Valley Road.
The Plan
Group up at 08:00 on Saturday morning here: https://goo.gl/maps/bhZuJErVBbo8h5qu9. If the link does not work for you - this the N/W corner of Grand and Deer Valley Rd. NOTE - I changed this after discussion with @delta6 - he said it's a better gathering spot.
Caravan from there to the spot - about 4-5 miles from there. My understanding is that the drive in to the spot is pretty easy - but it is a dirt road (for those of you who might be driving out in your Ferrari 458 Italia).
Clean the shooting spot - until the trailer is full or we are happy with how clean things are.
Safety Brief - We'll have an informal safety brief before shooting - just to be sure that we are all on the same page. If you are bringing someone who is not an experienced shooter please clue them in before hand - and manage them accordingly.
Set Targets and Shoot
Clean up our brass and targets (of course).
Find a nearby lunch spot for those who want to go to lunch.
Please bring:
Yourself
Responsible friends who are willing to work and then shoot
Work gloves
Rakes
Guns
Targets
Ammunition
I'll bring:
Trailer
Trash Bags
Water
For those who expressed interest I'm tagging you here... I'm not sure who were the 5 that voted yes for 3/18 so you are all getting tagged. @delta6 @Jay Gee @AZgnu 007 @BigNate @Tenring @zonie77 @jnojr (I know you said East Valley - adding you just in case...)

If you're cleaning up a place that has been a long time shooting spot, you probably don't want to rake the ground unless you have the proper PPE. The lead contamination in the soil can be immense, and raking dry soil with put it in the air. Just a thought since you added rakes to your packing list.

Others - if you CAN make it - please chime in here - so that I can confirm that we've got enough folks to make it work. If we can't get folks out there this weekend I'll push it back a few weeks - but it's going to get hotter so...

Luckily we've had rain but the spot if fairly new, last year or two, and hasn't been heavily used, other than by slobs.
BIG thanx to Nate for organizing this clean-up, providing the bags, the trailer, hauling the trash to the dump and paying the dump fees. Also, a big thanx to those who showed up. We cleaned up two shooting spots and then proceeded to bang steel for the rest of the day. A great time was had by all.
I posted a few photos below. I apologize…they are not great and there are not many. Usually there are many more and the quality is much better, but the CameraGal was out chasing ‘Shiney’s’ (Pokémon community weekend?)
