We’re all felons now!
Ruling is that pistol braces are now considered SBRs/SBSs, 120 days to turn them in or register them as SBRs.

So when the courts overturn this, ATF will destroy all the records created when they were registered, right?

Why are you laughing?

Just take the brace off for now. Lame for sure. I bet the government will make a ton of money on tax stamps lol. That's what it's all about anyway.

According to the new "rules" there is no 200 bucks tax stamp if they are "registered" in the 120 day period. However I am looking forward to the legal smackdown.

Its more about registration than money IMO.

Perfect timing. I was just about to register another SBR. I guess the shitty brace that’s been hanging out in the parts bin for the last 5 years finally came in handy.

So can this be viewed as free SBR registration?

And if braces are considered SBRs then we might as well get rid of the dumb braces and put a nice stock on them.

Good point, I do agree it's about both.

Maybe some in the new Congress will step up and ask what law did they actually pass?

Or install a longer barrel at least until the real law changes the commies registry attempt.
Good point for sure!
