Sportman's Warehouse and Sig

#1

Post by Jay Gee »

I've been wanting a Sig P365XL and SW has a decent deal on a "Tac Pac" which includes a holster and 3 mags. Went to two different locations and the P365Xl's are marked "X" on the slide not "XL" like the Sig website shows. They also seem shorter than specs. Anyone have a XL that's marked X? Is there a problem with Sig mismarking or something?

My recently acquired Sig P365XL has a large X on the left side with a smaller L inserted between the cross marks of the X. Definite says XL only not what you would think the letters XL would normally look like. If it's just an X on the slide, it may be a different model, they seem to have a half dozen of them now on the P365 platform.

The P365X has the 12rd grip size of the XL but the slide length of the original P365.

I should point out that they came from the factory like this. The case said 365XL and the serial numbers on the case and the pistol marked X matched.

I believe the newest version of these dropped the L off the slide. Also I think they separated the optic plate from the rear sight too so rear sight stays when running a dot.
I got mine earlier this year it’s it’s clearly marked XL

Well, thanks. I emailed Sig and will see if they reply back. Maybe I'm just too distrustful.

Another easy way to identify is the XL slide is longer then the frame.

In case anyone else was wondering -

Thank you for contacting Sig Sauer.
Current and moving forward slides will simply have the “X” engraving instead of the “XL” engraving.

A P365XL looks like this (minus the red dot):

They are separate products sold by Sig.

Apparently that has changed per SIG - "Current and moving forward slides will simply have the “X” engraving instead of the “XL” engraving."
