Interesting 1st Amend. twist in Amish dealing without a license case

Post by Suck My Glock »

ATF raids Amish dairy farmer for dealing without a license. Dairyman admits he was selling guns. However, (some) Amish faith stipulates they may not be photographed. Without photo ID, you can't buy from an FFL.

So it seems this guy was fulfilling a niche in the Amish community by selling guns to fellow Amish who could not buy from an FFL if they followed their faith and had no photo ID.

Unfortunately, it seems he also sold a few to some non-Amish as well, and is likely what got him noticed in the first place.
