Anyone been to Barrett-Jackson this weekend?
Website says a couple years ago they went heavy with bag checks, small clutch purses and weapon screening. Does anyone know if that's still a thing?
Just want the woman and I to be properly equipped on arrival.
Thanks!

Unfortunately they have had some issues with drunk assholes in previous years. Current policies are an obvious evolution from previous events.

Re: Barrett-Jackson security posture
“Weapons screening” at Barrett-Jackson isn’t, and never was, like going thru a security checkpoint at the Ben Gurion airport, the Pentagon, or even a Maricopa County government building. People have had no issue entering Westworld with a LOT of metal on their person and I’ll leave at that. Hypothetically if someone was going thru their entrance with a pocket full of change, a huge ring of keys, a “Mr. T” starter kit of jewelry, crew served wrist watch, cell phone, and other metallic STUFF it might be wise to not be wearing an Oathkeeper, New Black Panther Party, or “KILL EM’ ALL LET GOD SORT EM’ OUT!” T shirt.

They had metal detectors at all entrances last year. Same with the WM Phoenix Open.

I always want to be unarmed around drunken assholes. It wouldn't be fair to them if I was able to defend myself against their rages...Glock_Holiday wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 12:10 pm Unfortunately they have had some issues with drunk assholes in previous years. This post saved me a wasted trip. If I walked back to my car, it would be to leave, not to put my gun in the trunk. It's clear that they don't want "people like me" around. I'm OK with that. Have a fun time at the car show.
