sig p365 reassembly issues
Son in law took down and cleaned his pistol. Put it back together. Trigger will not set and can't get the slide off now. Google was no help.

Re: sig p365 reassembly issues
I'll buy it as scrap for $3.50.
This is why gunsmiths exist.

Re: sig p365 reassembly issues
My point was he should bring it to a gunsmith to help fix the current issue, but not to generally field strip his gun.
If the guide rod is backwards, the gun is locked up, the guide is has no where to travel. I just tried to put the guide rod in backwards in my P365 on purpose, and I couldn’t make it do it…how did your SIL manage to do it? How did he get the slide to lock back in place on the frame? I’m very confused.

Re: sig p365 reassembly issues
This guy is talking about the recoil spring in backwards but he may be meaning the whole spring / guide rod assembly. Note the part about the slide release orientation before hitting it with the mallet.

Press down that dingle bit, then make sure the do-wopie is pointed 180° or greater
