So which of the panic gun buys are going back?
I certainly dont know if this a general observation across the industry or just this one store. Its like polls. Interviewing 500 people in a country of over 330 million isnt really an indicator of anything.
Still .. It is interesting and supports my long held belief that a great percentage of people buy this gun because name recognition. Its almost synonymous with handgun. The equivalent of Kleenex.
But if your in the market ??

External safeties, those are for folks who don't plan to go hand to hand at any point.

If they are first time owners who bought during the panic buy they probably only have Movie knowledge on thier use.kenpoprofessor wrote: ↑November 19th, 2021, 6:51 pm External safeties, those are for folks who don't plan to go hand to hand at any point.

Last "panic" buy I did was an AR 5.56mm lower just before the humiliation of PIAPS in 2016.
No matter, it is now part of a completed rifle, the small caliber of my AR collection. Had been avoiding adding another ammo type to my self-imposed caliber selection.

Same folks who wonder why their Glock cant make the cocking sound like in the movies every time they point it.Boriqua wrote: ↑November 19th, 2021, 7:24 pmIf they are first time owners who bought during the panic buy they probably only have Movie knowledge on thier use.kenpoprofessor wrote: ↑November 19th, 2021, 6:51 pm External safeties, those are for folks who don't plan to go hand to hand at any point.

Sure you can, but they'll buy it back at a lower price than you paid, and charge you a restocking fee. They'll sell it as used for a bit more than they bought it back from you, and make a tidy little profit again.
