I just picked up an MK25 slide assembly for my 226 so I can shoot .40 or 9mm. As one of its features it boasts a "Chrome Lined Barrel"
I think I read that it is something of a big deal but .. i dont know why. So to further my education .. I thought one of you might no why. Most any gun is more accurate than I am so ..is it a durability thing?

Re: Chrome LIned Barrel ?
Ahhh.... so its about corrosion resistance which I should have guessed since all the slide internals are phosphate coated. The people this was designed for would have been in and around salt water. Makes perfect sense! Thank you for the link
