Took the ride up north this a/m, mostly to check out some Prescott/PV shops. But, I also stretched it north into Chino Valley to hit the original TombStone up there. It's a little tiny closet of a shop, and if not for the matching signage, you'd be hard-pressed to see how they're kin with the one at Metro Center. HOWEVER, I asked the staffer about competitor's, and he kindly pointed to the US Flag atop an outpost literally just two blocks north of them:

When you enter, it's an honest to gosh tobacconist, completed with a well-stocked, walk-in cigar humidor. Take a few steps, and you're in a really neat, well-stocked, family-run gunshop! All they need now is the addition of a good sandwhich shop, and the fantasy would be complete. If you SMOKE, as well as shoot, how can you beat it?
If you're planning on hitting that PV Toyota Center show, they are just about 20-25mins further, danged near all freeway, too. Well worth the side excursion!
IF you have reason to be there on a Mo-Th. WEEKDAY, they have a neighbor called Big-Daddy's BBQ.
Pretty darned good, and reasonable (for BBQ). I emphasize weekday, because their signage clearly
indicates that F/Sa/Su they are only catering.

Boris and Nadia at D'Eagle guns is my favorite stop up there, for sure.
However, they have limited hours of 10-3pm weekdays only.
Darn near next door to them is Prescott Valley guns. It's been light on inventory my past few visits,
but it's crazy not visit both if you're able to hit Deagle during those limited hours.

Re: A genuinely cool gun-shop
There are no “cool” gun shops left. When Mandalls, Jewel Box, and Pioneer Guns folded the cool gun shops in the Valley became extinct. Cool gun shops have a large inventory, lots of guns you can actually lay hands on, a handful of really unique things, somewhat disheveled, and have a bit of dust, and allow kids after school to walk in unaccompanied. What’s the goal of every gun shop now?
To some day become successful enough to be the next Scottsdale Gun Club.

Re: A genuinely cool gun-shop
no its because you fudgers all wanna finger everything and walk around and beg for a deal, no deals in those type shops, they are there for making a buck so they can eat. plenty shops tried, the internet killed them, everyone wants to order and save tax, and a couple bucks, well what happens when they stop the internet orders or delivery, yeah cheap fudgers be dammed. lolThat Guy wrote: ↑October 15th, 2021, 9:51 am There are no “cool” gun shops left. Yessir, couple hundred yards to the west, and across the street is PV guns.
Unfortunately, there's a lotta truth to what That Guy posted.
