Not a real answer, but the number of times he got in trouble for drugs in DOC means he probably had a pretty bad habit.

He was a "red shirt freshman" more than a decade after leaving HS. 30 year old freshman...

Ahhhh . Ok that explains it. I thought he looked old to be a freshman but steroids do wierd things to people's faces so I didn't want to assume

Those TPD guys use their IFAK’s a lot. Chances are that’s not the first time those shears have been used. Plus the adrenaline dumping you can see him shaking. Best thing to do in a situation where you need your shears is to make an initial cut and then tear the clothing away. Works like a champ. We pretty much replace our shears after a couple of uses because they dull quick.

The level of accuracy under that extreme amount of stress of getting drilled by the suspect in that Durango is, to say the least, astonishing. He is a hero to Tucson, and Arizona, without a doubt. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves.
