Should've kept quiet about that, most of us would have had them refinished and put them on the rack. Probably some CA karens

With the exception of the MAC-11/9, that's some expensive hardware. A genuine Galil like that would easily be a $3500 item even before the current insanity. Maybe these were buried before Y2K? Why weren't they better sealed and preserved? Obviously someone thought they were coming back soon. So either they were stolen, or maybe someone anticipated being arrested and didn't want them taken? Maybe someone is in prison still who never was able to come back?

The mind wanders at the possibilities.

So remember kids,...whenever you move into new digs,...bring over your prospector buddy with the metal detector, just be sure.

I would guess they may be stolen and decided to hide them.
No protection at all to preserve them.
If the cops run them and they are not hot does the homeowner get to play finders keepers?
Seems a strange place to plant a tree also so close to the fences.

There's a story there. The AR at least is NFA. I'm willing to bet some of the others might be too. Cartel guns? Mix of U.S. made title one guns and Mexican military hardware?

Obviously those homeowners don't know that snitches get stitches, or the first rule of Fight Club.

I hate to read these stories, cause it means somebody called the cops. Better to just keep quiet and we never know

Well, here's the thing. SOMEBODY may have come-a-lookin' for those one day.
Prolly a nefarious type, putting the residing family at-risk. At least now, with this
being in the media, perhaps that family may have dodged a bullet...literally...or
even worse?
