Am i gonna blow my hand off?
Any reloaders out there that can answer this?
I reloaded 44 Rem Mags with H110@23.1gr with 240gr heads. 18 FMJ Flat Nose and 12 JHP Flat Nose. Well when I got up to the priming part I noticed I had 34 primers in the tray that looked like CCI #300 Large Pistol primers. But I’m not sure if they’re CCI #34 Large Rifle Military Primers “for 7.62mm ammo”.
If I made the mistake of putting the CCI 34s in a 44 Rem Mag with the loads posted what’s gonna happen?

If they're actually large rifle primers, the primers are seated well above flush and there's a good chance they'll hang up your revolver cylinder.
Tear em down if they're above flush.

Anytime you’re uncertain about your reloads take them apart and start over. You shouldn’t have to wonder what might happen when you press the trigger.

Losing a hand is one thing. But to destroy a nice .44 Magnum revolver -- that would be a real tragedy.

Like others have said, you have a problem if the primers stick out from the case -LR are same dia but longer than LP- then you should pull them down. Since your load seems to be under various book max you should be OK but then you don't give any OAL.

I just happened to come across this yesterday and think it may add to the conversation

Seems at least one gentleman did some hands on testing using SP and SR

Re: Am i gonna blow my hand off?
Yeah, but no one did a test of pressure, which is what would cause a problem if it got too high.
Velocity/pressure are tied together, but if you've spent much time looking at test data that showed both, you'd see you can get a huge increase in pressure and little to no increase in velocity.
What you've really got to think about is pressure spikes which can only be picked up with piezo testing (PSI).

I’m not sure I’d worry about pressure spikes or blowing your hand off- just don’t think it’ll run that much hotter.
But as others have said the LR will probably sit proud due to depth of the primer pocket and longer length of the LR.
If it was in a semi auto you would have to consider how strong of a hit the firing pin would have as well as LR primers are harder.
