But, on a Constitutional point,... government confiscation, without compensation, is unconstitutional,... if memory serves me!

US Constitution - Fifth Amendment,...
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
This might be relevant. Back in 1981 when open bolt semis were declared to be MGs, there was no taking, they were grandfathered in. When StreetSweepers were made DDs, that was not a taking either, because you could simply enter it into the NFA registry. This is very different, since it appears to be the first time such a thing has been ordered destroyed or surrendered without ability to be transferred into the registry or compensated. Actually, no,...the Akins Accellerator was the first,...but it didn't have anyone challenge it in court.

EXACTLY,... and, until someone does challenge this,.... the Globalist anti-gunners will do their best, to enforce it!

But, on a Constitutional point,...

The Constitutional issue that most seem to be missing is the blatant upsurition of the power of the Legislative by unelected bureaucrats.

Excellent point,... but, sometimes going the legal hoop jumping route, is the most simplest and effective coarse to take. I can only wonder how many blatantly unconstitutional laws and regulations are active at this point in time.
