they could start adding taxes to ammo, ban mail order gun parts. so maybe not a outright ban on certain guns, but they can make it a hassle to the average gun owners. jim

I doubt you will see anything significant for quite a while. He has a lot on his plate day 1.

I have to say, and some of the older shooters here may feel the same, I have heard it all before so I am just not getting my chonies in a twist. There were no seizures under obama, my kid isn't in a madrassa, I am actually a very jaded shooter I suppose, and too old and too tired to indulge the police state fantasy.

Even if these things came to pass they would be incredibly difficult to enforce in any meaningful way regarding the weapons and such that are already in circulation. It's just not mathematically feasible.

An end to production and sale of high cap mags seems like the most likely scenario, and the most achievable. Maybe moving semi auto rifles to the 21+ age bracket could be a thing as well, but I doubt highly that anything on the scale of the 1994 omnibus is going to be happening.

They are focused on healthcare, environment, ending two wars, down sizing the military, ending the covid, and a dozen other pressing matters. As long as nobody shoots up a school or anything, we are good for a good while.

Maybe. Congress has the power to tax, and that is why Biden proposed taxes on certain guns and accessories. And if the democrats get the senate I expect they will impeach Kavanagh and ACB. All your civil liberties are at risk after that.
Impeachment does nothing. After that, the Senate must convict and the odds of that happening are extremely remote and must meet specific guidelines.

Only one Supreme Court Justice has even been impeached and that was in 1804.

When Trump ultimately wins this election, I don't believe he is going to ban any guns.

I think it’s self delusion to believe anything that held true in the past will matter with this pair of assholes. In my lifetime felons went from full citizenship after serving their time to “prohibited possessors”. All it took was a vote in Congress. Where is that sanction listed in the constitution? If the democrats get control of the senate do you seriously believe they won’t do whatever they feel like doing? In the words of the alleged president-elect:”come on, man”.

My man... when discussing gun stuff he was the one who said that he didn't think due process should come before seizures, that it was better to grab the guns right away and then worry about the due process later. He doesn't look out for us any more than anyone else, we have no friends up there other than fair weathered types.

If we loose the Senate elections in Georgia I suspect much of what's in this video will reach congress and some form of it will be enacted. But I believe it will eventually be before the Supreme Court to see wether these laws are constitutional or not. But I also believe we will see and executive order banning import of some firearms fairly quickly.

Well, I'm not delusional, but I think it's definitely tin foil hat time to think that they're going to remove a SCOTUS member unless they commit a capital crime.

This article states :

"American gun owners could face tens of billions of dollars in new taxes to keep the guns they already own under Democrat Joe Biden's gun ban and tax plan."

Biden also wants to ban future sales:

"Biden wants to ban new sales of AR-15 rifles and similar firearms as well as any ammunition magazine holding more than 10 rounds—sizes that come standard on most modern rifles and handguns. He would pay some owners to surrender the affected guns they legally own and force everyone else to register the guns under the National Firearms Act. The proposal would require owners to pay a $200 tax stamp for each item."

Some people give up easily, others wait until the fat lady sings. She hasn't sung yet.

And On a related note, here's what we can expect if President Trump retains office for the next four years. It's as obvious as the nose on my face that chief justice Roberts is completely compromised. All for me, none for thee, Foocing Bolsheveks, Herr Goebbels would be proud...
